Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australian Government Representative
Each year, the Australian Government appoints a young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Representative to be part of the National Planning Group for National Youth Week.

Each year National Youth Week has a new theme – this year we are asking young people to give us some ideas!! If you have a catchy phrase that you think would work for NYW2014 please let us know.
We all knew this day would come. After ten days of events, activities and fun NYW 2013 has officially come to an end!
Thousands of young people followed the NYW theme of Be active. Be happy. Be you by taking part in NYW all around Australia. Don’t worry, preparations will soon begin for next year’s youth extravaganza.
A massive thanks to everyone who got involved. From the National Planning Group including our Young Members to all states and territories, event organisers and especially all of those who attended. We ALL made NYW the biggest celebration of young people in Australia for 2013!

The successful applicant will play an important role in providing advice to increase engagement and participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people during NYW 2014.
